The Marwari horse
The Marwari is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar (or Jodhpur) region of Rajasthan region of India. It is believed to be one of the oldest horse breeds in the world, with a history dating back over 5000 years.The Marwari horse is known for its distinctive inwardly curved ears, which are its most recognizable feature. It comes in all eqine colours althrough pinto patterns tend to be the most popular among buyers and breeders. Used throughout history as a cavalry horse by the people of the Marwar region, the Marwari was noted for its loyalty and bravery in battle. They are known for theit hardiness, persistence and fearlessness. They are slim and athletic, generally narrowed in duild and thinner then horses in the west, and a forward going and responsive ride. The marwari averages is between 14 and 16 hands.
